Maybe God wishes to teach me a thousand new things, move me from being in a thousand different directions to just ONE, and show me a thousand reasons to BLESS his name. Maybe that is why He moved me 1,000 miles away.

Around the World in 180 Days!
This year we are traveling around the world for geography class and have enjoyed spending time in Mexico, Brazil, Norway, Canada and Germany. The homemade pretzels were very fun to make but quite tricky! Dropping a doughy pretzel into boiling water for 30 seconds and then retrieving the slippery thing to bake turned out to be the hardest part. We put the odd shaped ones on the bottom of the pile!

No one really liked the kraut very much.

Wow Audrey is getting so old! It is hard to believe we met you when Chloe was in K or 1st grade - I cannot remember. It's hard to believe she was younger than Audrey! Chloe and Maria seemed so old compared to our other kids.

What program do you use for Geography? Is it part of Tapestry for Grace? I'm needing to make things a little more fun around here for next year. The type of learning that transcends the books. I want to smudge that line between school and not school. Learning is part of life - it doesn't need to stop when the book is closed, it doesn't need to occur in little separate worlds for everyone. Looks like you have done that!
