Maybe God wishes to teach me a thousand new things, move me from being in a thousand different directions to just ONE, and show me a thousand reasons to BLESS his name. Maybe that is why He moved me 1,000 miles away.

A cold day at Trexler Park

Days are getting long as we are all anxious as to when baby boy goodman will make his arrival. So, we decided to go for a walk in Trexler Park, a very nice paved trail in Allentown about 5 miles from our home. It was actually a cold day, and we shared the paths with a few dedicated exercising Senior Citizens. The wind was a bit biting, so we didn't stay long. Can't wait to see the park in the spring~

Dark Eyed Junko

This little visitor has become quite tame and will come right up to the glass door and pick at the seeds we leave him during our lunch hour.

Why I'm up at 4:20AM

It's been over 5 years since I've been through this and I forgot about the annoying late pregnancy things like "practice labor contractions" that are just uncomfortable enough to keep you awake, but not effective enough to get the job done.

Tomorrow is a full day with piano lessons for all three kids, Little Gym class, Figure Skating lesson and Hockey practice. I'll sneak a nap in there at some point....or perhaps I shouldn't as it seems that labor starts when you are most exausted and the house is at it's messiest. Tomorrow, then should be a good day, as I still have the sink full of dishes to be washed.

I'm way past that "oh you look so cute" pregnant stage, and the kids and I noticed that when we are out and about we get outright stares. I do look and walk like I should be on my way to the hospital. Jackson saw me carrying a load of laundry in an awkward position and said, "that is the only way you can do it now? Pretty soon if your turned sideways you wouldn't be able to fit through doorways." Chloe tries to protect me from such comments by glaring at him and informing him that it is so mean to say such things....but I think Jackson is impressed with my girth.

WINTER STORM WARNING!

SOME AREAS ALREADY DUSTED WITH SNOW; SCHOOLS CLOSING EARLY
Schools around the region are already beginning to dismiss for the day as light snow has begun to fall in some places. It's part of a winter storm that could bring 1-3". The National Weather Service has issued a WINTER STORM WARNING for much of the 69 News viewing area.

We have captured this fierce winter storm that is drastically dusting our grass with the wicked white powder, and causing panic and school/work closings around the valley.

A Cold Day

This morning it is 8 degrees here. This may cause some panic in the hearts of the natives, but I'm going to take in a deep breath and smile as I think of you.

Free Advance Tickets!

This week I'm working on a slideshow and video presentation
of what we do and see in a basic week here in PA. I just got my software
working, and so tomorrow and the next couple days I'll be working on
taking pictures and compiling them into a format so that it seems like
you are all riding along in my fun Suburban and seeing and doing everything
with us. Doesn't that sound like fun? Rather than post it on a public blog,
I'll be sending it to anyone's e-mail address who is interested in seeing it!
All comments can be left here in this post. Oh, I also may have a poll question to see how well you paid attention and perhaps a prize for the winner???
