Maybe God wishes to teach me a thousand new things, move me from being in a thousand different directions to just ONE, and show me a thousand reasons to BLESS his name. Maybe that is why He moved me 1,000 miles away.

Civil War Days

The only way to explain our Saturday is with a pictoral video presentation. Click on the rectangle on the bottom of the screen to watch in full screen if you so wish. Enjoy.

Great movie!! I feel like I've experienced the horror of war. Abe is a bit shorter than I imagined him to be, but very stately indeed.

wow Kerri= that was pretty cool I must admit- and just a little scary- we just don't even think of the Civil War and so many are still "celebrating" it- you sure do have lots of adventures out there- I can't believe how grown up all the kids look- esp. Benjamin- oh my word! can't wait to see you guys!

Hi Lori!
I think Roy thinks I'm nuts for wanting to spend a 93 degree day watching men shoot blanks in the woods. Tonight at a church cookout I met a former teacher who loves history more than I do and she was drooling when I told her we went. She also gave me tons of ideas for field trips next year. Ahhh, it's nice spending time with people as strange as oneself.
